Hybrid RANS/LES Simulation
Hybrid RANS/LES simulation technology(DES) combines the advantages of LES and RANS method, by using RANS in boundary layer region and LES in separation region judged by turbulence scale, its simulation results in separation region is similar to LES while whole computation amount is much less than LES. DES can be applied to unsteady characteristics fine analysis in large scale separation flow.
